Taking a few spare light bulbs with me tonight.

My regular followers by now will know that I have a small (read LARGE) obsession with out innate ability to rewire our brains.

I am about to go on a 2 and a bit day conference and listen to one of the leading neuroscientists and writers in the field. I am a little excited.

I am certainly expecting to have a few of those "AHA" moments over the next few days. I think this conference is the inspiration I need right now. I am also looking forward to sharing those learnings with you.

A few days without the camera and editing images .... this will be dangerous!

At least in Australia, today marks the beginning of spring. It is official! I saw my first butterfly for the season. A sweet little black creature with yellow frills on her wings. However to all my followers in the Northern Hemisphere, I am sorry to say as they do in The Game of Thrones "Winter is Coming".

Here is another poem from the archives :

Untitled

Upon the wings of a butterfly, I flutter

my spirit dances with its freedom.

Its grace makes my spirit fly,

fly high above the clouds

into eternity ...

to peace.

Its beauty, intricate design

makes my spirit rejoice,

nourishment for inspiration.

Its silence speaks to my spirit

of serenity ...

the path to find my way home.

My eyes that can see its grace and beauty

learn the greatest lesson of all -

appreciate freedom;

the freedom my spirit gives

when I become

in harmony.

One word to sum up the day ... whoosh.

Limited Time Only is one of the greatest marketing ploys. Its a call to action. It is a shame that for most of us, it is not the call to action we apply to our lives. One of the greatest illusions is the time. Time flows as it chooses.

So many of us say we are "time poor", the fact is that in any given minute, any given day, any given year we all have exactly the same amount of time. To feel time poor is an indication that we are most likely spending our given time in activities that do not match our inner values. There is a conflict between what we are actually doing and what we think or feel we should be doing.

When we are doing things that are aligned to our values, it feels as though time does not exist. We do not notice the hands rotating around the clock face. We are present - our thoughts, our feelings, our actions, our entire being is within that moment that space of time. We feel as though we have spent our time wisely. Our Limited Time Only offer becomes an investment of time and energy well spent.

In Deepak Chopra's book "Quantum Healing: Exploring the frontiers of mind/body medicine", he shares research about the discovery by Ronald Konopka of the gene in fruit fly's that determine the insect's circadian cycle. Chopra asserts that the DNA controls time itself, that our sense of time comes from within, activated by the per gene. It is fascinating research and a most interesting read for when you have the time. (Smile)

Instead I will leave you today with the lyrics from Pink Floyd and their time lament.

"So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter; never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say."

Flying Solo Tip 061365 : Remember it is always for a limited time only.
