diving in

My recollections of diving into the weekend.

I have two events this weekend, both children's birthday parties - one at an indoor play centre with plenty of slides and ball pits; the other at an indoor trampoline centre. For the candid event photographer, children's parties are rich with photographic opportunities and you need to enter the "lion's den" with buckets of energy and enthusiasm. They can be tough gigs - children are not known to be still for too long especially when the sugar kicks in, are totally unpredictable in their movements, and in this age one has to contend with the parents with their phones poised to capture the action.

In the absence of time to properly reflect on the events of today, I share with you another (short) poem I wrote moons ago :

Lost Inspiration

Oh how I would love to be a child again

Freedom of speech

Freedom of movement

Freedom of thought ...

If only I could have captured

those moments of inspirations

that flowed from peaceful innocence.

Flying Solo Tip 072365 : Sometimes you just have to dive in with childlike abandon.
